LITE

2003年結成、4人組インストロックバンド。今までに2枚のフルアルバムと2枚のEP、1 枚のスプリットCDをリリース。独自のプログレッシブで鋭角的なリフやリズムからなる、 エモーショナルでスリリングな楽曲は瞬く間に話題となり、また同時にヨーロッパのレーベルからもリリースし、ヨーロッパ、US、アジアツアーなどを成功させるなど国内外で注目を集めている。 そして昨年10月に立ち上げた自主レーベル【I Want The Moon】より、音響系/ポストロックの巨匠で、TORTOISE,The Sea and CakeのJohn McEntireを迎えて、 シカゴのSoma Studioにてレコーディングされた5曲を収録したミニアルバム「Illuminate」を2010年7月7日にリリースし、2度目となるFUJI ROCK FESTIVAL'10へ出演など、近年盛り上がりを見せているインストロック・シーンの中でも、最も注目すべき存在のひとつである。

Formed in Tokyo in 2003, the band - Nobuyuki Takeda (guitar), Kozo Kusumoto (guitar,synthesizer), Jun Izawa (bass), Akinori Yamamoto (drums) - are cited as an influence by a new wave of young instrumental bands around the world. Extensive touring since their formation has won them fans in Europe, the US and beyond thanks to their intense, incendiary live performances and a steady stream of EPs and albums has firmly established them as one of the most exciting bands to have emerged from Japan in the last decade. The band have most recently toured the US twice with Mike Watt & The Missingmen and will appear at Fuji Rock Festival in Japan for the second time following their first Asian tour and will soon return to European shores. / LITE are a four-piece instrumental rock band formed in Japan in 2003. The band are known for their thrilling and emotional compositions, progressive, edgy riffs and complex rhythms. Their explosive live show and tireless touring in the US, Europe and Asia along with worldwide album releases have brought acclaim from all quarters. The band have released three full length albums and several EPs including "Illuminate" (2010 recorded by John McEntire) and 2012's "Past Present Future" which featured Caroline from Mice Parade and appearances at Fuji Rock Festival and SummerSonic. The band are widely regarded as one of the most exciting to emerge from Japan in the last decade.
